Dear SAATA members,

Madhulika

We are already almost half-way through 2023 and with that comes our SAATA Newsletter. This year so far, I have been soaking in a lot of joy, - read it as - The Joy of Travel.

You know that indescribable feeling deep in your heart when you book your tickets, the thrill of packing, unpacking, and planning a new journey to discover yet another portion of the world. I travelled to Japan and Bali and also to Hyderabad and Chennai, frankly it didn’t matter if the journey was of a thousand miles or much, much less. All that mattered is that it made me feel alive.

SAATA this year has also been embarking on a new journey starting with the process group activity lead by Elana Leigh, which was all about learning new things, unlearning old, and building new understanding on top of existing relationships between the EC members with a common goal of taking SAATA to newer heights.

Just like travelling gives you so much more in return. Similarly, face-to-face events like Visioning Retreat hosted by SAATA for all EC members, BOT, and certified members was filled with a deeply satisfying feeling of being connected to other people with a sense of pride and commitment to enhance and improve our SAATA. Read a special recap shared by our President on Visioning Retreat.

In this edition, we have very special, words of wisdom from our new CTAs' sharing their experiences and inspiring us with their journey towards getting certified. There is also an MLL experience shared by one of our participants and a raving review by another participant from Bangladesh.

Do catch all that happened in other departments of SAATA under TA News.

I would like to highlight our upcoming SAATA Conference on September 23 and 24 in Bangalore. It is called Heggidira? – Dialogues on Mental Health. Enroll ASAP when email hits your inbox to actively engage with your TA community.

We have a very beautifully written poem from Krithika Akkaraju and an interesting book review penned by Asha Raghavan, do not miss them.

Thanks to the 2 new additions to our team – we are now Fantastic 4 – Shibani, Haider, Asha and I - we had double the fun while putting together this edition of our newsletter.
